Case Studies - External Wall Insulation, Portsmouth
Description of the works
Mr & Mrs Elborough approached Platinum Park Home Services (PPHS) about having some External Wall Insulation installed onto their Park Home. The property is a large double park home with distinguishing aesthetic features.
They qualified for funding through the LAD 1B scheme through our funding partner Agility Eco. After successfully securing the funding we fitted a 60mm direct fix EPS System under the PAS 2030:2019 (PAS) framework.
Even though our primary goal is to upgrade the energy efficiency of homes, we respectfully maintained the exterior look of the home. The property was finished in a brilliant white topcoat to accentuate the black offset features.
Enabling works
AT PPHS we coordinate all enabling works in order to carry out the project’s proficiency in line with PAS regulations.
Mr & Mrs Elborough had a boiler flue that was shorter than 100mm attached tightly to the original wall, a water tap attached similarly and an outside electrical socket that was attached tightly to the original wall.
We used our trusted subcontractor network to extend these items ready for installation.
The Funding Stream
This project was fully funded by the Local Authority Delivery LAD 1B Scheme. The funding was managed by Agility Eco on behalf of Portsmouth City Council. Mr and Mrs Elborough did not have to contribute towards the install. They were absolutely thrilled by this and even more thrilled with the finished outcome!
Safeguarding Measures
Before the job began we sent Mr & Mrs Elborough a document outlining the work that was going to take place and what to expect. This helped safeguard them whilst we were on site as the letter contained clear details of what to expect in relation to the work. Mr & Mrs Elborough also had our Covid-19 policy explained to them.
