Case Studies - External wall insulation, Hampshire
Description of works
Mr & Mrs Kellaway applied for funding through PPHS for the Agility Eco LAD 1B funding scheme to upgrade the insulation on their Park Home.
After a short wait their funding was confirmed and the enabling works were carried out. We then drew up a job specification to carry out the work.
We fitted 60mm EPS insulation, from SPS Envirowall adhering to PAS20:30 2019 guidance. Mr & Mrs Kellaway choose a cream finished colour for their property and they are thrilled with the finished product.
Our Approach
This project was fully funded by the Local Authority Delivery (GHG) Scheme. The funding was managed by a company called Agility Eco on behalf of Portsmouth City Council.
Mr Kellaway did not have to contribute for the install. He was thrilled by this, and even more thrilled with the finished outcome!
As a company we coordinate all enabling works in order to carry out the project’s proficiency and of course in line with PAS2030:2019 regulations. Mr Kellaway had an Outside Tap attached tightly to the original wall so we had to extend these items ready for installation.
As well as the plumbing enabling works, we carried out electrical work too. Mr Kellaway had a Sky Dish / TV Aerial attached tightly to the original wall. As well as this to comply with the ventilation stated in PAS2030:2019 we installed a mechanical vent in the Kitchen, main Bathroom and En-Suite Bathroom.
Before the job began, we sent Mr Kellaway a document outlining the work that was going to take place and what to expect. This helped safeguard his whilst we were on site as the letter contained clear details of what to expect in relation to the work. Mr Kellaway also had our Covid-19 policy explained to him.
