Case Studies - Porch, Roofline & Insulation, Kent

The work
Mr and Mrs Jones received a leaflet through the post and contacted us to quote for some external work to be carried out on their park home. They required:
- Porch with new UPVC window and door
- External wall insulation
- Soffits, fascias and guttering
Sam, one of our Park Home Surveyors, visited to carry out a detailed inspection and survey of the property and answer any questions that Mr and Mrs Jones had. They went through the options and decided on what was required.
Once everything was decided work started with the porch, removing the old brick built one and starting again with ply and UPVC. We insulated the walls with Celotex boards to ensure it is energy efficient and reduce draughts.
Next our thickest 90mm external wall insulation was applied to the walls, rendered and top coated to achieve a modern smooth finish. We chamfered around the box bay windows, french doors and the new porch to ensure a neat finish was achieved. We had to work around a few issues like a gas pipe, and in some areas additional trim was required to neaten the finish.
Mr and Mrs Jones chose new white square gutters and downpipes and matching fascias which provide a clean and tidy finish, completing their park homes new look. These also help prevent water ingress around a vulnerable area of a park home.
The result
The overall look of the park home has been completely transformed, not to mention how the energy efficiency will have improved as well. Mr and Mrs Jones will be enjoying warmer winters, cooler summers and lower cost energy bills, and they might even be the talk of the site with their lovely new look!
